Why You Need Training
Providing an employee with the correct training to do their job makes them safer
and more efficient. All of you benefit from this and ultimately it is the best
way to ensure your workforce is as effective as it can be.

You wouldn’t consider using machinery or equipment on site without first ensuring
that all operators have received appropriate training. There is usually a right
way and a wrong way of doing almost anything, even at a most basic level - such
as using a hammer. The importance of training increases in line with the sophistication
and complexity of the equipment and the equipment used in industry today is more
complex than ever. It is therefore not surprising that both general safety and
product-specific training is recognised as essential for efficient operations
on any site.
We are living in an ever-more litigious society where industry is more aware
than ever of the need to provide necessary training. In addition, the HSE is
now undertaking a name-and-shame campaign of which you will not wish to fall foul.
Training helps operators and other staff to work safely and to use equipment
to its full capacity. When this is happening, your business will be more efficient
and will undoubtedly increase its earning potential which, in the long run, will
far outweigh the cost of any training.
