Course Overview
This is a competence based course that covers assessment of the use of equipment
to construct a safe working area on a live highway including the use of traffic
signals, barriers and signs.

- Operatives required to set up and carry out work on live highways.
Course Contents
-
Legislation, Risk Assessment, Site Safety inc. PPE, Basic Equipment, Layout, Use of Temporary Traffic Signals, Production of Site Plan and the Construction of a Simulated Road Working Site.
Course Outcomes
On completion of the course your candidate will be able to:
- Safely construct a road working site on a live highway in line with all necessary safety and code of practice legislation..
