The first question that many of you will ask about training is “How much will this cost me?” Despite the numerous points of view about training saving you money in the long term, there is clearly a short term outlay that needs to be made. 

 

Wherever you look, training isn’t cheap.  However, there are ways you can claim money to help with the costs of training and we will try to make sure you can access as many sources of funding as possible.

 

Firstly, Construction Skills (CITB) operate an extensive grant scheme that supports a wide range of approved and accredited construction sector training. If you are a Levy paying company or work for a Levy paying company, the company may be able to claim certain grants back for training and/or testing. However, entitlement is not automatic and you are advised to check with your CSkills contact to ensure you are eligible for grant in each instance.
